Cosmetic colored contacts usually made with these 2 materials, namely hydrogel and silicone hydrogel.
Hydrogel is the most common contact lens material. Silicone hydrogel, on the other hand, is based on the hydrogel material with the addition of silicone and has 4-5 times oxygen permeability compare to hydrogel material. In general, silicone hydrogel colored contacts will be more comfortable to wear, especially suitable for those who have dry eyes.
